The ICT History Program for Remote and Regional Teachers (offered by the HTA of NSW and funded by the AGQTP*) has brought together History teachers from throughout NSW. While we are able to gather together for training once in Term 2 and again in Term 3 we will be able to stay connected in the interim through this wikispace.
Ready To Use
With one day of ‘hands on’ ICT training completed you are hopefully now ready to use ICT a little more with your students. The sooner you start the better! Your mission is to develop and use one or more learning tasks that uses Movie Maker, Photo Story 3, Wikis or VoiceThread. Having used the learning task with your History students give some thought to how effective it has been and then get ready to share what your experience!
Ready To Share
We want to hear what you get up to! We want to see the learning task/s you try out. We want to hear from you what worked and what didn’t. That’s where this wiki fits in. Everyone has their own page where they can share their journey from now until next day of training.
Of course, it’s not just us who will be keen to hear what you are doing. People in your school or region will want to hear what you have learnt. You could even think about sharing what you’ve done in Teaching History (the HTA of NSW journal).

If you find yourself in need of help between the two workshops you will probably find the solution to your problem on the Internet. If this is fruitless then please contact me and I will try my best to help (__rford@sacs.nsw.edu.au__). I am more than happy to have a look at the learning task you come up with before you run it with your students. I will check our wiki regularly but if you are looking for quick feedback please email me.
